Terms for buyers
2nd Boot is a marketplace. These terms explain who you're dealing with when you buy here.
Who you're buying from
Each machine is sold by the seller named on its page, not by 2nd Boot. Your contract of sale is with that seller. Their page says whether they're a business or a private seller, which affects your rights (see delivery and returns).
Paying
You pay through Stripe, straight to the seller's own Stripe account. 2nd Boot never holds your money and doesn't see your card number. The price shown includes UK delivery, and there are no buyer fees on top.
What sellers agree to
Every seller is invited by 2nd Boot and agrees to: describe each machine honestly, including faults and repairs; use photos of the actual machine; wipe the previous owner's data; only sell machines they own and have the right to sell; post within 3 working days; and refund or put things right when a machine isn't as described.
What 2nd Boot does
We run the site, check who's selling, remove listings or sellers that break these rules, and help if you can't sort a problem out with a seller. We aren't responsible for a seller's machines, but we take reports seriously. Every listing has a "Report this listing" link.
